Scorching hot temperatures continue to warm the Southwest up where highs have been in the 90s for weeks now and across the Southeast, torrential downpours persist after a week of soggy weather. So needless to say, the Northeast is the place to be right now.
High pressure remains anchored across the Northeastern United States, leaving low humidity and plenty of sunshine this weekend. And if a sunny forecast wasn't enough to ask for, an upper level system will continue to drag in cooler air from Canada, leaving temperatures in the pleasant range - highs in the 70s and overnight lows in the 50s.
Good news is that apart from a slight warming trend starting Monday, the sunny forecast is here to stay up until the next work week.
So if blueberry picking Downeast is your thing or sailing in Penobscot bay, I am happy to report that the weather will be on our side all weekend long. Enjoy and make it a great one!
