After a brief cool down yesterday the heat and humidity will be on the rise again today. The front that dipped to the south yesterday will lift back to the north as a warm front. High pressure will also set up shop to our southeast locking us into a hot and humid pattern. Still can't rule out the slight chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms through the next couple days.
Today - Clouds and showers to start the day. We do get into a little sunshine today. Chance of some scattered afternoon thunderstorms. Highs in the 80s. Cooler at the coast.
Tonight - Mostly cloudy, areas of fog, lows in the 60s.
Independence Day - Hot and humid with partly cloudy skies. Still can't rule out the chance of some isolated late day storms. Highs in the 80s.
Extended Forecast - Hot and humid right through the weekend. Mix of sun and clouds Friday. Best chance of afternoon showers will be for the northern half of the state. Partly cloudy both Saturday and Sunday.
