A warm front is going to lift northward tonight bringing us some light precipitation. Along the coast temperatures should stay at or slightly above freezing but over the interior colder temperatures will result in some sleet or light freezing rain and a coating of ice. The bulk of the precipitation should be out of here by Wednesday morning and as the day progresses strong southerly winds are going to transport much warmer air our way. Scattered showers will pop up from time to time with a more widespread rainfall arriving Wednesday night as a cold front moves our way. The front will move off the Maine coast Thursday morning taking any rain with it and allowing for some afternoon sunshine. A second cold front is expected to move through Thursday night bringing another shot of very cold air into New England for Friday and the weekend. The models are hinting at a coastal storm on Sunday and we'll be watching this very closely.
