A fast moving storm system is going to bring us a round of snowfall tonight with most locations in New Hampshire and southwestern Maine receiving 2-4 inches. I expect the snow to wind down after midnight and Tuesday is looking pretty quiet with slightly warmer temperatures. Much warmer air is expected to arrive on Wednesday thanks to a strong southerly wind. An approaching cold front will kick off a few rain showers and these should become more widespread wednesday night as the front gets closer. The front is expected to push through our region Thursday morning bringing an end to any rainfall and allowing for partial sunshine. The cold air behind the front will move in during the day but we should still enjoy relatively warm weather before the really cold air arrives. By Friday we will be back in the deep freeze with temperatures in the 20s.
