Sunshine dominated the sky on Thursday but despite this temperatures remained well below normal with most locations topping out in the teens. It was a different story to our southwest where temperatures climbed into the low 30s across Pennsylvania and western New York. The warmer air is headed our way for Friday and as it arrives tonight look for increasing cloudiness and perhaps a few snow showers in the mountains. Friday should feature mostly cloudy skies with snow showers possible in the mountains. Strong southwest winds should send temperatures into the upper 20s and lower 30s or about ten degrees warmer than Thursday's. A cold front will move through our region Saturday morning followed by a strong northwest wind making for a sunny but chilly day with temperatures remaining below freezing at most locations. More clouds will arrive for Sunday as a weak area of low pressure moves our way. There could be a few snow showers but I don't expect these to amount to much. More sunny but cold weather is on tap for Monday.
