The ridge of high pressures that brought us nothing but sunshine on Wednesday is expected to remain nearly stationary over New England through Thursday night. That means we can look forward to more sunny weather on Thursday with high temperatures remaining in the low to mid 40s. A weak cold front will be moving our way on Friday but with limited moisture all it will do is put a few more clouds in the sky. Behind the front more high pressure is expected to build in for the weekend keeping the sky mostly clear and also keeping our temperatures a bit chilly. These cold nights are great for the ski industry inasmuch as they allow for unlimited snowmaking. Sugarloaf, Sunday River and Bretton Woods will all be open this weekend for anyone wishing to get in some early season runs.
