The trend that we are seeing over the next couple days is still the below normal temperatures. After a chilly start to the day today our highs will only warm to the 50s. Skies will be partly sunny. Brighter skies in far NW Maine, and more clouds closer to the coast. A storm passing offshore will be responsible for the cloud cover, and will give us the chance of scattered showers today. Best chance for any shower activity will be during the afternoon in southern Maine. Mostly cloudy skies for your Wednesday forecast with rain arriving for the overnight hours. Thursday is my pick of the work week! Sunny skies and cool temperatures.

Today - Plenty of clouds with a few breaks of sun. An east wind will gust up to 25 mph at times today. Chance of some scattered showers. Highs in the 50s.

Tonight - Cloudy skies, evening showers, and lows around 40 degrees.

Wednesday - Mostly cloudy skies and highs in the 50s. We could see some showers move into western and southern Maine late in the afternoon, but the bulk of the rain will hold off until Wednesday night.

Extended Forecast - Thursday looks beautiful. High pressure will provide us with sunny skies and breezy conditions. Partly sunny with some scattered showers on Friday. This weekend starts out on a sunny note, but more clouds and showers move in for Sunday.
