The sun finally broke through the clouds today making for a pleasant end to the work week. I expect the clouds to return tonight along with areas of fog as low level moisture moves in from the Gulf of Maine. In addition we have a cold front moving our way and the clouds from this system will also start arriving here tonight. The cold front is not expected to move through our region until Saturday afternoon so the first half of the day should feature plenty of clouds with very little in the way of precipitation. Showers are likely in the afternoon into the evening with the frontal passage. Behind the front much cooler air will be here for Sunday. The day should start out with partial sunshine then look for increasing clouds in the afternoon as an area of low pressure heads toward the Gulf of Maine. The low is going to bring some light rainfall Sunday night and then move quickly away to allow for sunny skies on Monday. Be advised that temperatures on Monday are probably going to be in the 50s which is quite cool for the time of year. Tuesday is looking a tad warmer but still below normal.
