BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (NEWS CENTER) - The Portland Pirates rallied from two deficits to skate away with a win at Bridgeport, 4-2.

Randy Jones' short-handed goal 12:19 into third proved to be the game-winner with Jordan Martinook clinching the contest courtesy of an empty-net goal with only 25 seconds remaining.

Captain Jordan Szwarz gave Portland some momentum heading into the final frame as he tied the game at two on a power-play goal with only 16 seconds remaining in the 2nd period.

Lucas Lessio scored the Pirates opening goal, also courtesy of the power-play, 4:44 into in the second, which tied the game at 1.

Portland (23-30-2-8) clears the American Hockey League cellar one-point ahead of Adirondack.

The Pirates next game is Wednesday when they host Worcester.
