PORTSMOUTH, New Hampshire (NEWS CENTER) -- Two women were arrested following an investigation completed by the Portsmouth Police Department.
The police department was notified by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force of social media postings in the Seacoast area advertising prostitution. The images associated with the postings included females that may have been juveniles.
Based on the tip, the Portsmouth Police Department's Special Investigations Unit conducted a sting operation and arrested two women.
Sara E. Vazquez, 19, of Worcester, Massachusetts has been charged with prostitution and possession of marijuana, both misdemeanors. Stephanie A. White, 24, also of Worcester, Massachusetts has been charged with prostitution.
Both were released on personal recognizance bail and are scheduled to be arraigned in the Portsmouth Court on March 17.
