PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - The Cumberland County Civic Center and Maine Principals Association Tournament is off to a rough start.
The Civic Center had to scramble one hour before the scheduled start of the Class 'A' boys game between #2 ranked Falmouth and #3 ranked Bonny Eagle Scots to install high school regulation 3 point lines.
The brand new basketball floor was lined for the pro and college games, but there was no 3 point line for high school ball.
According to General Manager Steve Crane, a three point line will be painted on the new floor Thursday.
Overall, though, Civic Center officials felt the first sporting event in the newly renovated facility went well - and fans said the updates to the buliding made a big difference.
