BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The Bangor Police arrested three people involved in several car break-ins Wednesday.
Early Wednesday morning around 4:15 a.m., a Silver Road woman called the police reported finding fresh snow footprints around her car. It seemed that someone had attempted to break into her car. At 4:40 a.m. a resident of Deer Isle Road called and reported seeing three men dressed in snow clothes and it appeared that they were trying to get into cars. Numerous officers responded to the area and were able to locate and detain the three young men.
Police arrested Bryce Celino, 21, Joshua Soule, 20, and a 17-year-old juvenile. Police charged Celino with one count of burglary to a motor vehicle and and one count of violation of bail. Soule was charged with two counta of burglary to a motor and two counts of theft. The 17-year-old was charged with one count of receiving stolen property, one count of possession of dangerous knives and one count of possession of schedule Z drugs (prescription pills that he did not have a prescription for).
Officers recovered a large amount of stolen property that police believe is from numerous neighborhoods on the west side and Capehart areas of Bangor. The police asks for anybody who suspects they were a victim to make a report.
Police plan to further investigate the crime and the suspects may face additional criminal charges.
