Pirates rack up 134 penalty minutes in 7-1 loss to Binghamton

LEWISTON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - A week after getting back to .500 on the season, the Portland Pirates gave up seven goals for the second consecutive night in what was their worst loss of the season on Satruday, 7-1 to the Binghamton Senators. 

Mark Visentin and Louis Domingue combined to make just 22 saves on 29 shots for the Pirates.

Brandon Yip scored Portland's lone goal in the first.

The game got ugly in the third period when five fights broke and the two teams compiled 169 penalty minutes.  The Pirates had 134 PIM for the game, Binghamton 90. 

Portland (16-18-2-7) host Atlantic Division leading Manchester on Sunday at 1 p.m.
