Maine to receive $5.4 million in LIHEAP funding

WASHINGTON, D.C. (NEWS CENTER) -- The the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' (HHS) will release $5.4 million to the state of Maine for LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program).

The $5.4 million is on top of $33.7 million released in early November. Maine officials predict LIHEAP funding will serve approximately 50,000 households.
