SANFORD, Maine ( NEWS CENTER) -- Sanford Police Officers responded to a report of an Armed Robbery at a convenience store at 88 High Street on January 25 around 7:25pm.
The store clerk called 911 after a male wearing a ski mask entered the store and demanded money. The male displayed a handgun during the incident and left on foot with money from the cash register. The store clerk followed the male across High Street to the intersection of Harvard Street where the male turned and fired the handgun at the clerk. The male was last seen entering a vehicle and fleeing the area.
