AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - The LePage administration is ready to release a taxpayer-funded study of Maine's Medicaid system.
The Department of Health and Human Services hired the Alexander Group for a review focusing on the feasibility of expanding Maine's Medicaid program under the federal health care law.
The LePage administration, which received the report on Dec. 16, has been accused of dragging its feet in disclosing the findings. Attorney General Janet Mills said this week that the report must be released immediately.
On Friday, DHHS Commissioner Mary Mayhew and Gary Alexander will discuss the Medicaid expansion portion of the report before making the full report available to the public.
