PORTLAND (NEWS CENTER) - The Maine Red Claws first ever playoff cut a 17-point fourth quarter deficit to just two, but their bid to win their first ever playoff game ran out in a 120-118 loss to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

Jermain Taylor led the Red Claws with 29 points while Josh Selby added 28 more off the bench.

Maine trails their best-of-three playoff series 1-0.  Game two will be played in Hidalgo, Texas, Saturday night.  Game three, if necessary, would be played on Monday.

This marks the 11th straight loss by Maine against the Vipers, including three games this season.
