(NEWS CENTER) - Facebook announced late Friday night that they were recently victims of a hack, but they stress that no users data was compromised.
Facebook says the hack occurred some time in January, but wouldn't say specifically when. They say their security systems discovered a "sophisticated" attack when a handful of employees visited a mobile developers site. The site installed malware onto the employees laptops.
The computers were dealt with and law enforcement was contacted, and an investigation is underway. As part of the investigation, Facebook says they have found "no evidence that Facebook user data was compromised."
