PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - In his State of the Union address, President Obama called for bipartisan cooperation in Congress but made clear he will push a liberal agenda that he says is focused on jobs.

President Obama made clear: his second term priority is increasing our employment not shrinking our debt.

To cut the deficit more, he'd reduce entitlement spending, but open more preschools, fix highways and bridges and fight climate change.  He also demanded more tax hikes on the wealthy.

The commander in chief also announced he's pulling 34 thousand troops out of Afghanistan within a year.

On gun control, President Obama urged lawmakers not to dodge it.

And on immigration he called for consensus on reform plan.

Phil Harriman and Ethan Strimling each had their take on the President's fourth State of the Union.
