WASHINGTON (NEWS CENTER) - A poet who now lives in Maine was asked to deliver today's Inaugural poem... And it was one that payed homage to the American experience.

Richard Blanco, who is the first Hispanic and the first openly gay person to serve in the role of inaugural poet, painted vivid scenes about everyday Americans going about their lives... And it included reflections on his experience growing up as Cuban exile in New York City and Miami.
