PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - A Biddeford man has been sentenced to five years in jail for cyberstalking his ex-fiance.

Shawn Sayer plead guilty, in U.S. District Court in Portland, to harassing his ex-fiance in Louisiana. He was accused of uploading sexually explicit video clips of her to adult pornography websites and using her real name and street address. He was also accused of creating a Facebook account in her name, where he posted her photographs, links to sexually explicit videos, and posting that "she" was interested in a number of sexual activities.

The States Attorney also says he created dozens of Yahoo! Messenger profiles that used some variations of her name and, using sexually explicit photographs of her, he invited men to her residence for sexual encounters. The States Attorney's office says that as a result, numerous men came to the ex-fiancee's home in Louisiana seeking sexual encounters with her, leaving her in fear of being sexually assaulted or otherwise harmed.

In addition to being sentenced to the maximum of five years in jail, Sayer will also have three years supervised release. The Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit and the United States Secret Service did the investigation.
