Windham students K-8 may have to attend Raymond under redisctricting

WINDHAM, Maine (NEWS CENTER) --  The school board representing Regional School Unit 14, comprised of Windham and Raymond schools, are efforting to relieve overcrowding in grades K-8 in Windham. Their plan is send some kids from Windham to Raymond.

RSU 14's proposed redistricting would extend Raymond's school lines to Whites Bridge Road in Windham.

Students living within the new lines could be bussing to Raymond in 2013.

The board says they can not vote on the proposal until public session.

The first forum was held October 3, at Windham High School.

A second public forum is schedule for October 10, at Raymond Elementary School.
