(NBC) -- Actor Charlie Sheen has been fired from the hit television show "Two and a Half Men".
Late Monday Warner Bros. Studio said the action was taken after "careful consideration" and is effective immediately.
It didn't take long for the outspoken actor to respond.
Sheen sent a text to the Associated Press which included the words: "they lose" followed by "trolls."
Sheen's firing by Warner Bros. follows a heated public battle between the flamboyant actor and his employers.
CBS had already canceled the show for the remainder of the current season.
Sheen's recent troubles include a custody battle with wife over his twin sons, who were removed from the actor's custody by police last week.
