PONTIAC, Michigan (WDIV) -- A 911 call from an 8-year-old Pontiac, Michigan boy who called to say his mother was being held at gunpoint has been released.
The incident happened Monday night.
In an interview, the boy's mother said she was in the kitchen cooking when two men burst into the home.
"I just told them, 'Don't kill my kids. Take whatever you want. Don't kill my kids,' and they were rambling through everything and kept asking me, 'Is there anything else in here? Is there anything else? Do you have any money in your bra?'" she said.
The robbers got away with only $12. When they left, the mother ran through her home frantically. She couldn't find her 8-year-old son.
She came to find out that the boy somehow slipped out of the house and ran to a neighbor's home to call 911.
"A dude came to my house with a gun and he told my mama to lay down," the boy says on the 911 call.
