MINERAL CITY, Ohio (WKYC) -- Potentially tornadic storms ripped through Mineral City, Ohio Wednesday evening, leaving a path of destruction in Tuscarawas County.
The most high-profile damage occurred when the Mineral City Volunteer Fire Department roof collapsed early in the evening. Officials say the building is destroyed.
Meanwhile, the roof of a neighboring cafe also collapsed with people inside. Incredibly, nobody was injured in either collapse.
The village of about 900 people saw damaging winds rip a mile long path through the city, blowing tops off of trees and damaging homes.
