GASPARILLA ISLAND, Florida (WFLA) -- Once a shark fin pops out of the water, you're usually better off swimming away.
A team of Sarasota scientists and researchers from Mote Marine Lab spent Monday searching for bull sharks to better understand their behavior.
The bull sharks were not hard to find. Over the course of a few hours, the fishermen caught three sharks.
The tags will monitor the shark for three to six months.
The tag records every movement the shark makes and after the allotted time frame is over, it detaches and sends the information back to Mote.
