DODGE CITY, Kansas (KSNW) - The water has run dry at Watersports Campground in Dodge City, Kansas.
That has left owner Pat Morgison concerned the drought could signal the end of what's been a place of fun for decades.
When asked if there will be water this summer, Morgison responded.
"Not that I know of. Farmers are wanting water too. They've been without it for the last two, three years.
After years of drought, beached docks have become commonplace at Watersports Campground.
That has people wondering whether there will be any water to enjoy during the summer months due to the dry spell.
"All the water's gone, and if we don't get some rain, we won't have any for this summer."
Water for the campsite comes from storm drainage and a well.
Due to the drought, all that water is gone now and what were once 12-foot deep lakes have been reduced to weeds and parched sand.
