TUPELO, Miss. (NBC) -- A Mississippi high school baseball player turned a dream play into reality, and it was caught on camera.
On Tuesday South Panola was playing Tupelo in the bottom of the sixth.
Tupelo's J.D. Roberts hit one to left field. Caleb Walker rounded third. He ran, he slid, he jumped and he was safe.
"Beyond amazing," said Tupelo Golden Wave player Conner Carothers.
"Definitely one of the best games this year," said Tupelo Golden Wave hitter J.D. Roberts.
"One of the greatest moments of my life," said Tupelo Golden Wave runner Caleb Walker.
Two outs and down a run, the Golden Wave felt the pressure.
"We were pretty much done if he would not have gotten that run," said Roberts. "Pretty much changed the whole game."
While practice makes perfect, Connor Carothers said this play is not one you can practice.
"Jackie Chan might teach that somewhere. I don't know," Carothers said.
You hear about plays that can change the momentum of a game. Well, this was one. The Golden Wave won 7-to-2.
