At 1:15 AM Saturday, a runaway train derailed in the small Quebec province village of Lac Megantic. The train was carrying 72 cars of crude oil. The resulting explosion and fire leveled six city blocks, caused at least 5 deaths (as of Sunday evening) and police are trying to track down 40 more people who may be dead in the rubble. Lac Megantic is just 10 miles from the border with Maine and state fire crews helped deal with the flaming wreckage. Matthew Pellerin, who accompanied the Rangeley Fire Department to the small town, shares his photos from Saturday.
