Somerville fire

SOMERVILLE, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A man from Somerville is believed to be the first person from Maine to die in a fire this year. Thursday afternoon, a neighbor spotted flames shooting out of a house and barn on the Crummett Mountain Road. Both structures were destroyed and the body of the homeowner was found inside the farm house. The victim is believed to be Cecil Brann, 92. Police say he lived alone and no one else was hurt. Firefighters dealt with frozen water and hoses throughout the frigid night. They even had to stop all together for a short time when their trucks froze up, but they were able to resume work by morning. Photos from Chief Michael Dostie of Somerville
