WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) - President Barack Obama "knew when he walked off that stage" after his first debate with Mitt Romney that he'd have to be more energetic the next time. That word comes from Obama adviser Robert Gibbs.
He tells CNN that viewers tuning in to Tuesday's debate will see a passionate Obama.
Romney adviser Ed Gillespie tells CNN the Republican nominee is expecting Obama to be more aggressive. But he says while Obama can change his approach, "he can't change his record."
Tuesday's debate will be a town hall-style session at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y.
