CROFTON, Maryland (WRC) - Police are investigating a bizarre case of road rage in Crofton, Maryland.

The incident happened around 4:30 Tuesday afternoon.

Officials say the incident started when the driver and passenger in a Ford SUV played a game at traffic light.

At the red light, they got out and ran around the car, and then hopped back in before the light changed.

A witness says at the next traffic light, the driver of a PT Cruiser got out of the vehicle, and stabbed someone in the SUV.

The SUV then pursued the other car, and drove it off the road and into a nearby ditch.

The 22-year-old stabbing victim was transported to Baltimore with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspected stabber and a third person also suffered minor injuries.

Anne Arundel County Police are still investigating.

The stabbing suspect is expected to be charged after he is treated for his injuries.

Police say there were children inside both of the cars involved in the incident.
