PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - A car was towed out of Casco Bay shortly before 7 Sunday morning after it rolled off of Widgery Wharf around 2 in the morning.
Portland Police say three people were in the 2000 Subaru Outback as it rolled toward the edge of the wharf. They were able to get out and call police to report what was happening. Police say the incident was due to driver error, mixed with high tide and rain runoff.
At low tide, the car was towed out of the water.
