The University of Delaware was the alma mater of Joe Flacco, who now plays in the NFL for the Baltimore Ravens.  Flacco was born on Jan. 16, 1985.  He'll be the starting quarterback against the New England Patriots in this year's AFC Championship game.

Delaware wasn't Flacco's first choice for college.  He spent his freshman year at the University of Pittsburgh, but as the backup quarterback, he wasn't happy with his lack of snaps.  Delaware offered him the chance to start, so that's where he went to finish his college career.
