Police arrest Sanford man for stolen handgun

SANFORD, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Sanford Police Department arrested a man Friday for theft of a fireman and burglary.

A Sanford officer had received information that a stolen fireman was inside a home on Brook Street. Investigators obtained a search warrant and found a stolen handgun. Police arrested resident Brandon Ogan, 21, of Sanford. The handgun had been stolen in a motor vehicle burglary on March 8 on Bethany Drive in Sanford. Police also charged Ogan with burglary in relation to commercial burglaries at the Third Alarm Diner on April 21, 2013 and June 7, 2013.

Police transported Ogan to the York County Jail.
