BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Today in United States District Court, Roland Roy, Jr. of Fort Kent pled guilty to stealing Hydrocodone.
According to court records, Roy was a pharmacy technician at Northern Maine Medical Center when NMMC realized that a large quantity of Hydrocodone pills were missing from its pharmacy.
The investigation revealed that Roy ordered large quantities of Hydrocodone pills and then stole more than $1,000 worth of them. Roy admitted to NMMC's human resources director that he had taken a majority of the missing pills.
Roy faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, or both. He will be sentenced after completion of a presentence investigation report by the United States Probation Office.
