GORHAM, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A 20-year old man from Standish is charged with felony terrorizing after police say a Facebook argument with high schoolers escalated.
According to Gorham police, an argument started between Sinclair and a few students from Gorham High School on Facebook before school started last Thursday morning. Throughout the day the argument escalated, and more high schoolers got involved in the online conversation.
Because this is an ongoing investigation, the conversation has been removed from the social media site and police won't elaborate on what was said or what the argument was about, but will say that Sinclair had threatened to show up at Gorham High School and harm the students involved in the Facebook thread. He also started leaving threatening voicemails.
That's when school officials got involved, and called police. Officers came to the school, interviewed the students involved, then looked into Sinclair and his background and decided to make an arrest.
Sinclair's bail is set at $10-thousand.
