FREEPORT, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - An early morning blaze destroyed a garage and a recreational vehicle, but spared a family's home.
The fire at 92 Fernald Road was called into the Freeport Fire Department around 8:30 Sunday morning.
Freeport Fire Chief Darrel Fournier said that by the time responders arrived on scene, the garage and RV were fully involved.
Fournier added that 15 MPH winds lead to flames jumping approximately 10 feet to the house. Firefighters were able to knock down the flames on the hoke quickly, limiting damage to the home.
