BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A small group met at the Peace and Justice Center in Downtown Bangor Sunday afternoon to discuss a big topic.

A children's program was held to get a head start on the remembrance of Martin Luther King Junior.

Volunteers from the Bangor Americore Opportunity Collaborative lead activities and discussions related to King's message- a message that they say is important for kids of all ages to learn about.

The session ended with a potluck dinner and a discussion panel about the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr and Nelson Mandela.
