LINCOLN, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Nearly 200 workers laid off from Lincoln Paper and Tissue Mill will now be getting some federal funding help.
Maine Senators Susan Collins and Angus King say the U.S. Department of Labor approved the petition for Trade Adjustment Assistance.
On Thursday, mill workers held a team transition meeting in Lincoln to learn more about the benefits of the TAA.
Displaced workers will now be eligible for employment training in other jobs, income support, relocation services and other job search allowances.
