BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) --- One week after a man was stabbed to death in Bangor, police in the city say they are still investigating the case.

Investigators say 30-year-old Thomas Neil Taylor of Bangor was fatally stabbed outside of his apartment off Ohio Street during an altercation that happened at the Birch Circle housing complex.

An forensic autopsy showed Taylor suffered stab wounds to his chest. He was rushed from the scene but later died at Eastern Maine Medical Center.

The Bangor Police Department has called in the Maine Attorney General's Office but at this point no arrests have been made in the case. Some neighbors of Taylor say they can't understand why.

"I haven't heard anything..if they {the police} have any leads or anything," said Greg Martin, who lives only a few doors down from Taylor in the complex, "I just hope this isn't finished...it shouldn't be finished."

Bangor police said they located a car that was at the scene the night of the stabbing. Officials say the investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Bangor Police Department at (207)947-7382. You can leave an anonymous tip by pressing 6.
