PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Thousands of Catholics are flocking to Rome and Vatican City to celebrate the Installation Mass of Pope Francis, scheduled for Tuesday. Francis was elected pope last Wednesday and delivered his first Angelus blessings from his apartment window to those in St. Peter's Square on Sunday. The Installation Mass will be a time to formally welcome the former Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio to his papal office.

NBC News Contributor Father Robert Barron is in Vatican City for the Mass and spoke with NEWS CENTER about how the more than 1 billion Catholics in the world are preparing for Pope Francis.
