PORTLAND (NEWS CENTER) - Former Biddeford and Boston College standout Brian Dumoulin's first pro game in Maine was a successful one as his Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins beat the Portland Pirates 4-3 in overtime.
Dumoulin finished with one shot and a plus/minus of -1.
The Penguins jumped out to a 2-0 lead after one, only for Portland to send it to the third period in a 2-2 tie. The Pirates scored 1:37 into the third thanks to Chris Brown's second of the game, but the visitors would tie three minutes later and win just 38 seconds into the extra session.
The Pirates fall to 33-20-3-2 and trail Providence by four points atop the Atlantic Division. Portland will play at Worcester on Sunday with a 3 pm first drop of the puck.
