The next two days look pretty quiet.

The storm system that brought rain, snow and ice to northern New England Tuesday night has moved off to the northeast but an upper level low will remain over our region for the next 24 hours. This should keep considerable cloudiness around both tonight and tomorrow with a few spotty snow showers as well. The low is expected to move off to the east Thursday night taking the clouds with it and setting up a mostly sunny day for Friday as a ridge of high pressure builds in. The high won't be here very long and as it moves away Friday night the clouds should return. Clouds will continue to stream in on Saturday as low pressure moves our way from the great lakes. The computer models are all pointing to the low redeveloping south on Long Island Saturday night  and then intensifying as it passes east of Cape Cod Sunday morning. If this verifies we stand a very good chance of receiving heavy snowfall Saturday night into Sunday morning. Stay tuned.
