BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - A Bangor man is being charged with aggravated assault after trying to convince police he was attacked.
29-year-old Christopher Stone, of Bangor, called 911 on Wednesday saying that he was attacked by two men and a woman at a home on Acadia Place. He claimed they had three knives and brass knuckles.
Police say when they found Stone, he had a field hockey stick. He told police that he was attacked over a cell phone.
Police say that Stone did not have any injuries from being attacked with knives or brass knuckles.
After an investigation, police determined that Stone was in fact the one who had assaulted someone. He attacked his his ex-girlfriend with the field hockey stick. She had a protection order against him.
Stone was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, violation of a protection order, and carrying a concealed weapon. He was taken to Penobscot County Jail.
