FREEPORT, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- For some, it's a Christmas Day tradition to do some shopping at one of the only stores open for the holiday.
The LL Bean flagship store in Freeport had a few shoppers braving the snow and venturing out for the holiday deals Tuesday morning. Employees say the biggest rush came in the very first hour of Christmas between midnight and 1 a.m. MaryAnn Scheiner of Maynard, Massachusetts got her family a trip to L.L. Bean for Christmas.
"We've been to this particular Beans store, my husband and I, and we though it was wonderful but it was years ago," Sheiner said. "Our kids are all in their twenties. What do you get for twenty-somethings? Take them to Beans!"
The on-duty manager was expecting another rush Christmas night after dinner.
