YORK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - York police say a woman has been arrested after stealing a dump truck from a construction site in York, and drove it into a park vehicle at a Cape Neddick residence.

On Sunday night, police say that 28-year-old, Kristin Plante, was under the influence of either drugs or alcohol when she stole a 1998 Chevrolet small utility dump truck registered to Budel Construction of Rochester, New Hampshire. Police say the truck was at a construction site at a hotel on Long Beach Ave in York. Police say a glass door, at the hotel, was shattered when the truck was taken.

After being arrested, York police found that Plante's drivers license had been suspended and that there were warrants for her arrest out of Florida.

Police also say that during the booking process, Plante assaulted an officer by kicking him in the shin, and has been charged with assault. They also say while Plante was being transported to York County Jail, she kicked and spit in the rear of the police car.

Plante has a court date at York District on March 20, 2013.
