ARUNDEL, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The York County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly crash in the town of Arundel.

It happened shortly after 8:30 Sunday morning on River Road. Officials say 89-year old Jack Shangraw of Kennebunkport lost control of his Ford Ranger and went of the road, hitting a utility pole.

He was taken to Southern Maine Medical Center but was pronounced dead once there.

At this point, officials believe speed and road conditions were both factors in the crash.
