PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - A former Maine prosecutor who faces sentencing for child pornography has been ordered returned to Maine after being on the lam for nearly three weeks.

The U.S. Attorney's office in Portland said a federal judge in New Mexico on Tuesday ordered that the U.S. Marshals Service transport James Cameron back to Maine. There's no time schedule on his return.

The 50-year-old Cameron was arrested Sunday in Albuquerque, N.M.

Cameron, who was once Maine's top drug prosecutor, was convicted of 13 counts of child pornography in 2010 and sentenced the following year to 16 years. He was later ordered freed from prison pending his appeal.

He disappeared hours after a federal appeals court on Nov. 14 upheld seven of his convictions and ordered him to be resentenced.
