Show number 2011-21

Original airdate 12-10-11

We'll meet a couple of tough mudders preparing for the ultimate long distance race. We'll meet Maine's top legal eagle, Bill Schneider, Maine's new attorney general. And we're going to find the finest kind of Christmas tree in the whole Pine Tree State.

This week's blog written by Bill Green:

We actually worked a bit ahead on this show and it's almost hard to remember when we shot Lani Cochrane and Shelley Koenig getting ready for their Tough Mudder. Tough Mudders are ultra-endurance races and these two Sugarloaf-area ladies have been working really hard to prepare for what should be a grueling event.
We wish them well and look forward to reporting their results.

I am impressed with Bill Schneider. He is universally respected for the way he conducts the state's business. Bill has an impressive resume at every stop along the career trail. I hope this piece captures his intelligence and his indomitable spirt.

I don't really fly fish that much and I don't tie my own flies, so I was last among my outdoor buddies in finding out about the feather shortage. This is a rebroadcast of an a Green Outdoors piece we did a week or so ago.

I have wanted to do a Christmas tree story for about twenty years. They cut them in late October and November. I have bought at least a dozen Finest Kind Christmas trees and I swear by them. The LeCasce family has done a great job staying in the business and passing their beautiful farm down from generation to generation.
